Future LoRA Training and the Kohya Problem

    Hi everyone,

I need to touch base again because training models on CivitAI is currently very difficult.

The problem is that support for Kohya has been discontinued something you’ve likely heard about. I’ve been trying to train models using Kohya every day since then.

Unfortunately, the training process often crashes; it takes about two days before it fails, and no epochs actually get completed.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m not a fan of AI Toolkit, as Kohya consistently delivered much better results.

If you compare versions 3 and 4 of my Zoey model, the differences are obvious specifically regarding the "How It's Done" text/details.

With Kohya, they look exactly as they should; with AI Toolkit, however, they look completely different and lack almost all detail.

I’m not sure where else to train new models right now, so I’m going to keep trying to use Kohya on CivitAI for the time being, hoping that a model can eventually be successfully created.

If you know of an easy way to keep training with Kohya (like the old CivitAI setup), I’d love to hear about it and I’d certainly appreciate your continued support.
