Sorry for the repost, had issues with this being flagged as minor ( probably for the chibi picture )

Inspired by ShadYu's "Character Intros" of his awesome DnD characters.

Disclaimer : As English isn't my first language, there might be strange turn of sentences or expressions used, and I apologize for that. I do try to keep the text mistake-free and written properly.

    Introduction

Serena is a pink-haired Miqo’te whose warmth seems to brighten even the coldest corners of Sharlayan. With her soft smile, fluffy tail, and rosy scarf wrapped snugly around her neck, she carries a quiet joy wherever she goes. Though small in stature, her presence fills a room, a gentle, steadfast light. Raised in an orphanage and bound by love to her adopted brother Vir, she grew into a devoted and kindhearted woman who sees the good in everyone. A skilled conjurer and caretaker, Serena uses her gifts not for battle or glory, but to heal, to comfort, and to help others find hope again. Yet beneath her sweetness lies quiet strength. She has faced betrayal and loss, and though her heart still aches from those wounds, she never lets them close her off to the world. Instead, she chooses compassion, even when it hurts.

    Description

Serena’s features are soft and delicate, her long, light pink hair falling in gentle waves down her back, swept slightly to one side over her bright, deep-pink eyes. Her feline ears twitch at the faintest sound, always alert, while the faint markings on her cheeks frame a smile as warm as spring sunlight. Her fluffy tail sways behind her with expressive energy, betraying every flicker of emotion she tries to hide.

She often dresses in cozy winter clothing : a tan sweater paired with a short pink skirt, white woolen tights patterned with snowflakes, and soft brown boots perfect for trudging through the Sharlayan snow.

Around her neck she always wears her favorite pink scarf, fastened with a small blue brooch that catches the light when she moves. The faint scent of vanilla and wildflowers lingers where she’s passed, a small comfort that seems to follow her naturally.

Wherever she goes, she is rarely alone, her carbuncle familiar, a small squirrel-like creature with long ears and several fluttering tails, often accompanies her. It glows faintly with aetheric light, sometimes yellow, sometimes blue or red depending on her mood or the spell she’s attuned to.

Locals in Sharlayan have grown used to seeing the pair wandering together through markets, libraries, and snowy paths along the harbor.

    Personality

Serena is the embodiment of warmth and kindness, cheerful, affectionate, and endlessly patient. She greets strangers with open curiosity and treats every friend like family, even when her generosity sometimes leaves her vulnerable. Her gentle heart struggles to believe that people are beyond redemption, and she does her best to soothe conflict rather than stoke it.

Her love language is simple : quiet gestures. A shared cup of tea, a handmade trinket, a soft word when someone needs it most. She has a deep intuition for emotions, easily sensing when others are hurting and offering comfort without needing to be asked.

While she is sweet and submissive in demeanor, she possesses a quiet determination when those she cares for are threatened, stepping between danger and loved ones with magic flaring around her like starlight.

Serena thrives in peace and simplicity : evenings spent curled by a fire, snow gently falling outside, her carbuncle sleeping at her feet. But behind her serene smile lies a fear of abandonment and a desire to be needed, a remnant of her orphaned past.

Despite that, she never lets sadness dim her light ; she believes joy shared is joy multiplied, and she dedicates herself to spreading that light wherever she can.

    Background Story

Serena never knew her parents. Raised in a small Sharlayan orphanage overlooking the sea, she grew up among other lost children, where laughter mixed with longing and dreams filled the quiet nights. It was there that she met Vir, a Viera boy who would become her dearest companion and, eventually, her adopted brother. The two were inseparable from the start, balancing each other’s strengths : Vir’s calm and confidence grounding Serena’s bright energy and empathy.

As she grew, Serena discovered her talent for healing and a natural attunement to aether. Under the guidance of a kind old scholar, she learned conjury and support magic, finding fulfillment in mending wounds and soothing pain rather than dealing it. For a time, she traveled alongside Vir during his adventures, supporting him from the back lines with restorative spells and protective charms.

But the world was not always kind. When one of Vir’s trusted companions, a woman named Eann, revealed herself to be a dark mage, Serena’s heart was shattered. The betrayal struck deep, shaking her faith in others and leaving behind a lasting fear of dark magic. From that moment on, Serena viewed such power as a corruption of life’s natural harmony, something irredeemable that she would never tolerate again.

Now, Serena lives quietly in Sharlayan. Her days are spent tending to the small cottage she shares with Vir, reading in the city’s vast libraries, or gathering herbs and flowers for her spells. When Vir is away on his travels, she fills her time caring for others in need, lost travelers, wounded familiars, or lonely students far from home.

Though she often gazes at the horizon and wonders what paths her brother walks, she finds peace in knowing her light will always be waiting for him when he returns.
