Wall Worthy - Finding the Art

A few months ago, mystifying wrote an article about growing artist support community. And that inspired a rather generous bounty for SFW art.

Sadly, I missed the boat.

But I thought they were both good ideas. It would be nice to have a place to go to for regular, fresh content of a certain quality and caliber. A place where you know you will find inspiring and thoughtful submissions.

But creating that within the current features of this platform is challenging. The tools almost exist. But not quite.

Still, it might be possible to build something where:

• items are curated according to a certain standard, while still being broad in style and subject matter

• open to anyone to submit an entry

• feedback, discussion and sharing of ideas is encouraged

The key tools CivitAI gives us at the moment are collections and bounties. I think everyone would love if there was a regular 20k buzz bounty available for submissions, but I'm not sure that's sustainable.

What if we tweaked it to do a smaller bounty more often? For everyone that submits a qualifying work, regardless of winning the bounty or not, their work is added to a collection. Bounties create incentive and exposure, and the collection is a regular, consistent, curated place to discover new work.
