Genuine Caution to the NSFW (Feral) Furry Folks (and those with Certain Kinks) + What's Next for Me?
This is the first article I published here, so formatting is going to be fairly plain for the time being.
Introduction
This is an announcement to bring awareness in regards of the current moderation system and how it affects certain niche, including, but not limited to NSFW Feral Furry content, and what I'm doing about this site.
So, what happened? (The issues)
Prompt and Content Detection Before and After Generating an Image On-Site
There are certain content that you cannot generate based on the prompt. Specific list of words and tags in prompts are blacklisted and will prevent the generator from running. For example, put the words "smaller male" into the prompt will not make the generator work. While it makes sense in certain contexts, for other contexts (ex. size difference between two adult characters), it makes it harder, requiring more careful prompting.
Another system after the image generation determines if an image does have content that is potentially against the TOS and blocks the image from being seen. In my experience, the blocking system tends to trigger false positives, especially when generating solo NSFW feral images. Even when putting "human", "anthro", and "bestiality" in the negative prompt, there is no guarantee that the generation will not trigger the block. Modifying the prompt a bit can help reduce the chance of triggers of a block. You don't get your buzz back when your images get blocked, so chances are, you waste more on images that get blocked than images that can be viewed. There are times where more than half of the generations for something particular were blocked, costing a lot in buzz, at one point, in the hundreds.
Posting
Despite being able to see unblocked images in the generation feed or history, that doesn't necessary mean your images are safe from being flagged. More than a week ago, several (but not all) of my images in a post were flagged by what is likely an automated moderator. An appeal was made for the images, but even after a week of the appeal, I did not hear back from the moderators.
Several days ago (July 16, 2025), several more images from another post that was not released got flagged, then eventually, nearly all of my NSFW feral furry images automatically disappeared (including the images that were not flagged on the post mentioned in the last paragraph). I got nearly two dozens of notifications telling me a specific image was violating the TOS. Not only that, I got a strike on my account, saying "bestiality is not allowed". None of the images had bestiality at all, no humans nor anthros were visible. This has became the most frustrating part of this website because it shows how bad the current state of moderation really is. I have heard that certain kinks and fetishes that don't violate the TOS are more likely to be targeted. It is punishing those who do not even break the rules.
What's next for me?
Alternative Site for Posting Furry Images
Since I can't post NSFW feral furry images on this site without a chance of getting into more trouble, I would need to find another site for them. Other image generation websites are now doing the same thing of not allowing NSFW content. It seems that e6ai.net is probably the best place at the moment for that, so I might take a look at it, create an account, and post some stuff there along with other furry content that I have generated or will generate in the future. It might have somewhat strict guidelines on what an image needs or must not have in order to be accepted, but moderation is done by other people, so less false positives (I think).
What to do About this Site + Am I Leaving?
To answer the second part of this subtitle, no, I'm not leaving. I think this site still has potential in what it does. It's mainly the moderation issue that is getting out of hand. Sure, the staff has to deal with digital payment companies, but they need to update us on what is happening. It's been like a month or so since they said anything about this, and all we are hearing at this point is radio silence.
I will continue to prompt and post some more images, although not frequently as I used to for the time being as I do need a break and because of demotivation from what happened. I will cease to put blue buzz to the Civitai Tip (until they fix the problems in this site) and put more blue buzz to the Creator Tip on resources that I like a lot when generating images. Definitely still participating in bounties. Once I do get 1000 yellow buzz (don't know when though, so I do wonder the average time it takes to get that much just posting and bounties), I will probably make another announcement.
Closing Thoughts
This concludes this announcement, but before I end it here, let me take a moment to say that I have joined this site just around a month and a half ago, which is not that long. But, within that timeline, I got to see a lot of pretty cool generations and models from prompters (directors) and creators alike. It's also crazy to witness diverse communities of different genres (anime, furry, realism, etc.) in one place, coexisting, which is a pretty rare thing to see. Usually, communities just stick to one domain, so the variety in this community is very unique, and I wouldn't want to change a thing about it. Anyways, thank you for taking your time to read this.
