    generation guidetag of the day

Welcome to tag of the day, my not-daily series where I share tags I found useful but underutilized in generations and explain how/why you should use it

I’ve made a lot of models for fantasy characters with magical power, and I’m hardly the only one to make such (plus there’s characters built into the base model and generic mages). It’s quite natural to want to depict such characters doing something magical. While there’s some great LoRAs for these effects, you can’t underestimate the tags you already have! Pyrokinesis, electrokinesis, hydrokinesis, and telekinesis are all tags with enough use for booru tag based models to recognize without further additions, which make them fun to play around with.

    Possible pairings:
    Any:
Posing: While this gives some influence of the pose, you still have a lot of control. Hand positions: (“hand up”) and articulation (“open hand”, “finger gun”) can be combined for a lot of standard casting poses. You can try using “holding” with element specific enhancers (“holding fireball”).
Lighting: “dynamic lighting” can also work, but I find it’s often too unnatural (a great example of text to image understanding “mean” data without cause an effect. If you do use it, try “aura” as a negative).
Power Floats: You can add things like “floating hair”, “wind lift”, alongside “clothes lift” and its various forms. You can also have your caster “floating, mid-air” (standing as a negative helps here).

Element specific (try giving these adjectives! "big" and various colors are obvious ones.)
    Pyro: fireball
    Electro: Lightning, lightning bolt, electricity
Hydrokinesis: Combine “water” with various shapes/basic objects (“water ball” )
Telekinesis: boulder, or rock+adjectives indicating they’re floating (worth exploring further objects. I can confirm “car” does not work)

DO NOT USE: casting spell (This one chops fingers off like a disappointed yakuza boss. Only worth trying if you are willing to spend time trying regional regeneration or such.)
